Ramona Bohwongprasert & Jonathan Tong shared the Key findings from the study:
✈️ 69% of travelers favor biometric gateways for smoother airport experiences,
🧳 66% show interest in remote baggage check-in from home.
🤖 64% would use an AI travel assistant,
17% willing to pay up to 5% extra for this service.
📊25% reported frustrations with Generative AI due to outdated or impersonal information.
Jan Reinmueller from Microsoft provided key insights during the panel on how AI will normalize bookings right at the inspiration stage, or anytime during procurement, highlighting a significant upcoming transformation in travel planning, ordering & delivery.
During the event, I had the pleasure of moderating a panel session with leaders and collaborators from our Amadeus spectrum of business, Nagender Rao Chilkuri, Sean Seah, Andy Koh, and Damon Wong. Our insightful discussion was around Biometrics, frictionless travel, AI as tools to improve customer service, operational efficiency & increasing revenues. We also discussed age of super apps.
