Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Pondicherry. This is a greenfield project.
Spread across 52 acres, the 180-key Taj Pondicherry offers panoramic views of the Bay of Bengal. Located on the outskirts of White Town, the hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a bar and a lounge. Guests can experience Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle offering holistic spa therapies, along with a gym, swimming pool and other recreational amenities. The hotel will offer expansive banqueting spaces, including the largest indoor banquet hall of 10,700 sq. ft. and exclusive beachfront lawns for outdoor events.
Pondicherry, a popular tourist destination known for its French colonial architecture, serene beaches, and rich spiritual heritage. It is home to notable attractions like Auroville, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry Museum, Oussudu Bird Sanctuary, and Puducherry Canyon.
