Hilton has announced the appointment of John Trovato as general manager of The Diplomat Beach Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton.
Trovato will oversee all operations across the 1,000-room resort and spearhead the property’s ongoing transformation as it transitions to the Signia by Hilton brand, with the full transformation set to be completed in May 2026.
With more than 30 years of experience managing full-service hotels, luxury resorts and conference centers across major U.S. markets, Trovato brings operational leadership, strategic innovation and team engagement to his new role. Prior to joining The Diplomat, he served as managing director for Casa Marina, A Waldorf Astoria Resort and The Reach Key West, Curio Collection by Hilton, where he led a $100M property-wide renovation and guided both properties through a brand repositioning to Curio Collection by Hilton. Additionally, Trovato currently serves as president of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association – Monroe County and vice president of The Florida Lodging Association.
“John’s leadership philosophy centered on empowering people and cultivating a culture of accountability, collaboration and excellence make him the ideal person to guide The Diplomat through its conversion to Signia by Hilton,” said John Parkinson, area vice president, Hilton. “The resort has long been a cornerstone of South Florida’s hospitality landscape, and we’re thrilled to have John leading its next era.”
