Duke Street Boutique Hotel has reopened in Liverpool city centre about a month after being bought by Golding Group.

It comes after the 30-room venue had been on the market for nine months with a guide price of £2.25m.

Golding Group, which began as an estate agent in the region before expanding into hotels and serviced accommodation around seven years ago, said the site marks its latest addition in a growing hospitality portfolio that includes 62 Castle Street Hotel and short-stay properties on Lime Street.

Having first launched as a hotel in 2021, Duke Street Boutique Hotel went into administration at the start of 2025. It has now undergone a cosmetic refurbishment, including a redesigned reception and resident’s bar.

According to Golding Group, the building was already finished to a high standard and includes air-conditioning across its rooms.

Located on Duke Street in the Ropewalks area, the hotel offers en-suite rooms – three with access to an outdoor courtyard. It is within walking distance of Chinatown, Liverpool ONE, the M&S Bank Arena, Lime Street and Central stations, and other city attractions.

The business will operate with full staffing rather than self-service check-in, and will offer a breakfast-to-go option of croissants, juice and hot drinks.

Kerry Audley, group general manager at Golding Group, said: “We are delighted that we have been able to get the Duke Street Boutique Hotel re-opened and running again so soon after its purchase, and extremely excited by what we have to offer.

“We are really looking forward to welcoming visitors to a high-end, quality boutique hotel experience, with superb support and service at budget hotel prices.”
