Kimpton Ashbel New York–Park Avenue, the upcoming addition to IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has announced the appointments of Brenda Correa as general manager, Lucy Shulman as director of sales & marketing, and Tyrone Fu as director of revenue management.
With more than two decades of expertise in hotel leadership, Brenda Correa brings extensive knowledge in openings, revenue management, guest satisfaction and team development.
Prior to joining the Kimpton Ashbel team, Correa served as general manager of Iberostar 70 Park Avenue for seven years. Before her tenure in New York City, Correa held director general roles at Iberostar Costa Dorada and Iberostar Mojito & Cayo Coco, where she oversaw large-scale resort operations and initiatives that elevated brand performance.
“I’m honored to lead Kimpton Ashbel as we prepare to welcome our first guests,” said Correa. “My focus is on cultivating unforgettable memories that embody the spirit of Kimpton hospitality, empowering our talented team, and positioning the hotel as a true haven in the heart of Manhattan. We look forward to opening our doors this winter and setting a new standard of comfort and connection on Park Avenue.”
Lucy Shulman joins as director of sales & marketing, bringing nearly two decades of experience within the hospitality industry. She has been part of the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants family for over 16 years, having held roles across their New York City properties, including The Muse and Ink48 under the Kimpton flag, where she led sales and drove partnership growth across multiple segments.
“Joining the opening team at Kimpton Ashbel is an exciting opportunity to shape the guest journey from the very start,” said Shulman. “I look forward to creating meaningful partnerships, driving sales initiatives, and introducing vibrant programming that celebrates the property’s distinctive design and prime Midtown location—all while delivering the warm, heartfelt hospitality that defines Kimpton.”
Tyrone Fu steps into the role of director of revenue management, bringing over 15 years of experience in revenue optimization and commercial plans. Previously, Fu served as director of revenue management at several renowned hospitality brands in Boston.
“It is a privilege to help define Kimpton Ashbel’s place in New York City’s dynamic hospitality landscape,” said Fu. “My goal is to establish a strong foundation from day one, balancing innovative strategy with a deep understanding of our guests and the market. Together, we’ll ensure the hotel’s performance reflects the same authenticity that guests will discover throughout their stay.”
Opening January 2026, the reimagined 1928 Beaux-Arts property will be located at 70 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
