Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced the signing of an agreement for Hyatt Place Bhuj, which will mark the brand’s debut in the historic city of Bhuj, Gujarat in India. In development by Primitive Property LLP, this new project will be set on an approximately 7,500-square-meter site and is expected to open in 2029.

Strategically designed to help multitasking guests easily accomplish what they need while on the road, Hyatt Place Bhuj will feature 125 thoughtfully designed guestrooms that will blend style, innovation, and comfort. Guests will enjoy a range of facilities including an all-day restaurant with freshly prepared food, a lobby lounge, conference spaces, breakout meeting rooms, and outdoor dining options, along with flexible event facilities and pre-function areas.

“We are thrilled to announce plans for the Hyatt Place brand to enter Bhuj, the gateway to Kutch district, which is fast establishing itself as a dynamic destination, celebrated for its cultural richness while gaining prominence as a corporate hub,” said Dhruva Rathore, Vice President, Development for India & Southwest Asia, Hyatt. “The hotel has been thoughtfully designed to create a seamless experience for today’s travelers, with spacious accommodations, flexible social spaces, and distinct zones for work and rest. We are confident that this new hotel will become a go-to destination that will exceed guest expectations and provide them with everything they need while visiting the area.”

We are confident this hotel will become the preferred choice for both business and leisure travelers in the region.”

Hyatt Place Bhuj will reflect the brand’s intuitive design, casual atmosphere and practical amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and 24-hour food offerings, creating a seamless transition from work to relaxation.

This signing underscores Hyatt’s continued commitment to expanding its Hyatt Place portfolio across key Indian markets, aligning with the brand’s focus on bringing purposeful, guest-centric hospitality to high-growth destinations.
