HOTREC fully supports the European Commission’s proposal for a Regulation on “Establishing an EU Talent Pool”. The creation of an EU Talent Pool is poised to facilitate connections between EU employers and third-country nationals, offering crucial assistance to the hospitality sector in addressing skills and labor shortages. This initiative becomes particularly vital in tackling the challenges posed by the aging population and the subsequent reduction in the working-age population. Furthermore, the establishment of an EU Talent Pool is anticipated to enhance the quality of life for individuals coming from third countries.
