The group, which currently operates four sites in the capital, will open a site at Slingsby Place in Covent Garden’s The Yards.

The new 4,190sq ft two-floor venue will include two terraces overlooking The Yards’ St Martin’s Courtyard and will have two bars – one on each floor – and an open kitchen.

Designed by Finch Interiors, Brother Marcus Covent Garden will feature terracotta tiles, muted earthy tones, and artisan ceramic plates that will line the walls, while vivid green plants will sit alongside woven, wicker, wood, and rattan.

The all-day menu will begin with breakfast, before moving into all-day mezze. At the weekend, brunch is served until 4pm, when the menu changes to sharing plates.

Morning dishes will include sweet potato fritters and smokey shakshuka, with later in the day plates will include halloumi, watermelon jam and mint; and pan-seared bream, almond and dill gremolata.

The restaurant will also serve a Marcus’ Choice set menu and a pre-theatre menu of the rip and dip platter and teo mezze dishes for £25 from 5-7pm Tuesday to Friday, and an extensive drinks menu championing Eastern Mediterranean herbs, spices, and liquors, as well as a long list of Greek wines.

“After four successful sites across London, we knew we wanted our fifth location to be spectacular, and with its two-floors and terraces overlooking The Yards, 23 Slingsby Place certainly delivers the wow factor,” say Alex Large and Tas Gaitanos, Brother Marcus’s co-founders.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing the Brother Marcus concept to central London with our largest site to date, and look forward to establishing the brand firmly in the heart of Covent Garden.”

The signing follows the news that the Japanese temaki and sashimi concept UKIYO has launched its debut restaurant at The Yards.

“Brother Marcus’ selection of The Yards to launch its flagship location and first in central London further endorses our position as one of the finest day-to-night F&B offerings in the capital,” says Abi Labbett, Asset Manager at CBRE, on behalf of Longmartin Properties.

Brother Marcus operates sites in Spitalfields, Borough Yards, Angel, and South Kensington.

Hanover Green and DCL acted for The Yards. Savills represented Brother Marcus.
