Its portfolio includes more than 90 properties
Marston’s Pubs PLC has selected cloud hospitality provider Mews to streamline and modernise its hotel management operations.
The group, primarily known for its over 1,500 pubs across the UK, also operates 92 hotels and inns with 1,790 rooms.
Futureproofing and automation were key priorities for Marston’s.
Alongside the need to manage the guest welcome and other parts of their journey in the pub.
Rikki Hampton, head of hotels for Marston’s, said: “We chose Mews for several reasons, including a great digital guest journey and the ability to automate time-consuming tasks; but it was also clear that Mews has a forward-thinking approach, which gave us confidence that they’d continue to meet our needs as we grow in the future.”
Hampton added: “Having a PMS that’s easy to train is important. The hospitality sector has a high staff turnover. Mews is one of the most intuitive systems out there, which means we can get team members up to speed faster and with a more user-friendly experience.”
All 92 Marston’s properties are now live on Mews, and there has reportedly already been a “tangible” business impact.
The implementation has also given the team better centralised control over user access, for improved security and revenue protection.
“We’re delighted to partner with an iconic brand like Marston’s and help them deliver remarkable hospitality to people up and down the UK,” said Richard Valtr, founder of Mews.
“In the short time we’ve known them, their commitment to smarter ways of working shines through, and everyone at Mews is excited to see how we’ll work together to deliver even more growth and success in the coming years.”
