Shiji partners with Typsy, an online hospitality training platform, to provide hospitality professionals with specialized training courses during times of restricted travel.

It’s commonly agreed that education is the driving force of most industries and helps businesses differentiate from one another. As a pillar of Shiji Group’s strategy, Shiji has been working with Typsy, the online hospitality training platform that empowers hospitality professionals through specialized online courses, to build more education for the hospitality industry for professionals to take with them throughout their careers.

During these times of uncertainty and restricted travel, hospitality professionals have been especially affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic as they are unable to provide the same level of service to their guests as previously possible. Hotel operations have been deeply impacted not only from lack of guests, but also from restrictions of many common touch points. With virtual education platforms like Typsy, hotel employees have been able to use this time to undertake training online and build up skills for long and successful careers. Rather than simply instructing employees to watch training videos, hotels can now upskill their employees beyond the usual product training for hospitality tools.

In partnership with Typsy and Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Shiji APAC has recently built employee courses with Typsy’s education platform to virtually train Hyatt employees on Infrasys Cloud during these recent times. With Typsy’s free basic model and small fee to upgrade to more in-depth programs, hotels and other hospitality organizations are also able to make use of this style of new-age education. As social distancing rules continue to stay in place around the world, online training sessions allow hospitality tech providers to continue providing in-depth training sessions for hotel employees around the world, regardless of time zone and location.

With Typsy’s easy-to-navigate platform, Shiji Group can digitally train existing and new customers on its suite of hospitality technology products. Hotels can then use this knowledge and platform to their advantage by expanding their education to include other educational content from Typsy in this mutually beneficial partnership. Alliances like these are what propel the industry to higher levels of success through collaboration, advanced tech, and knowledge sharing.
