Businesses will be able to use virtual cards for travel-specific purchases

Travel industry virtual card issuer Pax2pay has closed a strategic deal with Diners Club International, a financial services company that’s known for its cards, rewards and airport lounges

Pax2pay, as a key issuing partner in the United Kingdom, will further strengthen Diners Club International’s footprint in the business and travel sector through its product capabilities.

Its virtual card solution will empower Diners Club International to offer enhanced travel payment options. With Pax2pay’s technology, Diners Club International – which is part of the Discover Global Network – will offer virtual cards specifically designed for travel-related transactions, optimising costs and improving acceptance rates for its users.

This partnership extends the card suppliers benefits further into the travel space.

“Working with Pax2pay marks a new chapter for Diners Club International as we continue to grow in the travel sector,” said Matt Sloan, vice president of business development EMEA of Diners Club International.

“We believe that together with Pax2pay, we can offer our customers even greater value and convenience, helping them to manage their travel expenses with ease.”

Päivo Eerola, CEO of Pax2pay, said: “At Pax2pay, we are excited to collaborate with Diners Club International and support their focus on the travel industry.
