Cheshire-based Inspire Group has announced that it has successfully expanded its offering across Europe through launching fully transactional website platforms in a number of European markets, including Germany, France, Poland, Spain and Italy, with more to follow.
The move has been initiated to support the huge rise in sales of its travel gifts card – TravelCard by Inspire – across Europe and gives Inspire the opportunity to provide an enhanced service to its cardholders, whilst driving incremental sales from outside of the UK.
Each of the new platforms have been developed in the country’s local language and local currency and offer holidays and travel from local airports. They also feature tailor-made offers and promotions that are attractive to that specific country’s market, in terms of destinations and product type.
Lisa Henning, managing director of Inspire Group, said: “We are seeing expediential growth in the sales of our Travel Gift Card, with many of our corporate customers increasingly using them as a way of rewarding and recognising their people and as a loyalty solution.
“Through introducing these new platforms across Europe, we have made a significant investment in tech and remain confident that we will see further growth in card sales going forward, as well as see incremental travel and holiday sales.”
Amanda Et-Tibary, head of travel solutions of Inspire Group, added: “These new platforms will make it easier for our European card holders to use and redeem their cards for travel and holidays, given that they will feature travel from local airports and the platform is in their local language.”
She said that sales of the company’s travel gift cards continue to grow largely due to the fact that travel remains one of the most popular and powerful reward, recognition and motivation options, and that they appeal to every demographic.
She continued: “Our corporate customers tell us that our TravelCard is by far one of the most requested reward and recognition products, especially as there are no caveats or blackout dates, no minimum or maximum booking value and that cards can be stacked together on one booking, with no limit.
“We are seeing more and more people on incentive programmes choose travel as a reward over fashion and dining options. We are also seeing customers willing to add to their gift card funds to use for extra luxuries, that they might not have purchased if they weren’t using a gift card.”
Inspire operates its own independent trust account model on the card, which gives customers and cardholders 100 per cent financial protection, another benefit that Et-Tibary says is also very attractive to corporate customers and end users using the card.
