European holiday company Awaze has revealed two new additions to its senior leadership team to underpin its growth.
Gavin Shetly will become the firm’s new chief technology officer, while Jennifer Day will take on the role of chief growth officer.
Shetly joins from Global Fashion Group where he was chief technology officer.
He has been tasked with leveraging the commercial benefits of the company’s common web platform and driving continued innovation.
His previous roles include stints as global SVP product engineering of IKEA and director of technology and product – sports of Paddy Power Betfair.
He said: “I’d been tracking Awaze and the evolution of its business for several years. There’s so much potential for further development and I am delighted to be joining the team.”
Day joins Europe’s leading managed vacation rentals and holiday resorts business following a six-and-a-half year stint at Sky, where she was most recently managing director/SVP of Sky Digital and Now TV (UK and ROI).
Her focus will be on driving customer demand, growth and creating a holistic guest experience across all Awaze brands, including Hoseasons, cottages.com and Novasol.
Prior to her role at Sky, Day was group customer management director of Shop Direct, now known as the Very Group.
She said: “I’m extremely excited about joining the Awaze team to help lead our ambitious plans for growth.
“We have a passionate and dedicated team and exciting roadmap ahead of us.
“We’ll be transforming how we go to market across all of our brands throughout Europe, optimising revenue management capabilities and building the very best end-to-end guest experience.”
Awaze Group CEO, Henrik Kjellberg, added: “Jennifer and Gavin are fantastic additions to our team.
“They are world-class talents in their field and their appointments further establish us as the clear leader among vacation rental management companies across Europe.”
