Mews, a provider of cloud solutions for the hospitality industry, has announced the acquisition of Clarity Hospitality Software Solutions, a company specializing in management systems for hotels and events. This acquisition aims to expand Mews’ footprint in the Asia-Pacific region and the UK.
Founded in 1992 in New Zealand, Clarity developed software solutions for hotels and high-end establishments. The company expanded its operations to the UK in 2016 and now offers its services to hundreds of hotels and event venues in the Asia-Pacific region and the UK. Clarity manages several thousand rooms and maintains a profitable business.
This acquisition allows Mews to strengthen its position in the UK and Asia-Pacific markets, where several hundred hotels are already using its solutions. Mews continues to expand its influence in the industry, with positive results in 2024: the company was valued at over $1 billion and recorded a 42% increase in its clients in the UK, as well as a 16% increase in the Asia-Pacific region. Mews’ platform now has over 75,000 users worldwide.

We are excited to collaborate with Clarity to continue our goal of providing personalized, technology-based services.” – Matt Welle, CEO of Mews.
“Mews shares our vision of optimizing hotel processes to improve productivity and the guest experience. We are thrilled with this collaboration, which will allow us to continue offering solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.” – Dougall Love, CEO of Clarity.
This acquisition is part of Mews’ growth momentum, as the company continues to position itself as a major player in the digital transformation of the hospitality industry. With its partnership with Clarity, Mews will be able to expand its offering and further support hotels in their digital transformation.
