Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is expanding its footprint in the Caribbean and has announced its latest venture in Exuma, an archipelago of 365 islands in the Bahamas.

When it opens in 2028, Rosewood Exuma will offer a private island experience, with a combination of ultra-luxury and adventure travel. Rosewood has partnered with Miami-based Yntegra Group for the new venture.

The resort has been conceived to offer a “next-generation luxury experience” while honoring Exuma’s character, Radha Arora, president of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement.

Rosewood Exuma will be situated on a 124-acre private island, referred to as East Sampson Cay within the Exumas. The property will feature 33 suites, all offering views of the island’s pink and white sands and the sea.

The resort will have six dining venues, which will showcase local delicacies using ingredients grown from the resort’s organic garden. Guests can access Rosewood’s signature Asaya spa, which spans 20,000 square foot and includes six treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy facility, an outdoor pool and a fitness center. The spa will be complemented by an outdoor sports center, with tennis, padel and pickleball courts; along with watersports equipment.

Rosewood Exuma will have a fully-serviced beach club, which will include a restaurant, beach and pool bars and a private dining room. Two marinas with slips will accommodate yachts up to 150 feet. Besides the beach club pool, the resort will have two additional pools exclusively for overnight guests, including a family-friendly pool.

“We are enthusiastic about the partnership with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and believe that the brand’s hospitality expertise will help to redefine the industry in Exuma,” said Felipe MacLean, CEO of Yntegra Group. “This partnership represents our shared vision to create exceptional experiences that inspire and delight our guests while being good community partners who are committed to Exuma.”

As part of its commitment towards sustainability, Rosewood and Yntegra will prioritize sustainable building initiatives while developing the resort. Only 25% of the 124 acres of the island will be developed, while initiatives such as solar powered energy sources will be implemented to minimize impact to the island.

At present, Rosewood manages a collection of 34 luxury hotels, resorts and residences across 21 countries. In July, the group announced Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse in Los Cabos, Mexico, which marked Rosewood’s first fully branded standalone residential community. Earlier that month, the group opened Rosewood Schloss Fuschl in Salzburg, Austria, which saw a 15th century castle being restored and reimagined to reopen as a Rosewood hotel.
