Numbers for this offer available to purchase are limited

An annual ‘season ticket’ offering multiple flights for a set fee paid in advance has been introduced by Wizz Air.

The ‘All You Can Fly’ yearly membership of £534 provides access to flights to 800 destinations on the budget carrier’s network.

An introductory rate of £445 is available from 9am today until 11.59pm on Thursday (August 15).

A recurring booking fee £9 is added to the yearly membership and additional ancillary items such as baggage and seat selection are not included in the membership fee.

Customers will be able to choose from available destinations 72-hours before the date and time of departure.

Passengers can book flights available from September 25.

Wizz Air commercial officer Silvia Mosquera said: “We are thrilled to be the first to introduce this one-of-a-kind membership for travellers in Europe.

“The Wizz All You Can Fly membership will give customers hundreds of spontaneous travel options for a fixed price, giving them freedom to fly whenever is convenient without paying extra.”

Which? Travel editor Rory Boland said: “Though Wizz Air’s subscription offer may look enticing at first glance, passengers should look behind the headline price to work out if this really is a deal.

“Once booking fees, seat selection and luggage costs are added on, travellers will see costs spiral – particularly as multiple journeys will be required to claw back the original cost of the subscription.

“Flexibility could also be an issue for many, with few people having schedules that will allow them to travel at short notice, multiple times throughout the year.

“Wizz Air has performed lamentably in Which?’s recent surveys – customer service being a particular issue – and its on time performance is the worst in the UK, factors also well worth considering before locking into a subscription.

“It is also ironic to see an airline which claims to be Europe’s ‘greenest’ encouraging consumers to take unlimited flights – particularly at a time when many of us are considering the environmental impact of travel plans, especially short frequent trips.”
