Benito’s will take the site previously occupied by its rival Tortilla and will join a number of other F&B operators at the service station including M&S Food, Greggs and a 24-hour McDonald’s.
Operated by Elangeni Hospitality Group, the site will be Benito’s’ first in Yorkshire and brings the bradn up to a total of three locations joining sites in Oxford Westgate and Luton Airport.
“We’re very excited to have Benito’s join our motorway network and offer authentic Mexican cuisine to customers at Leeds Skelton Lake services,” says Extra MSA Group CEO Tom Dobson.
“In welcoming Benito’s we are again making a commitment to go the ‘Extra mile’ for our customers by presenting an exceptional choice of refreshments at our services.”
Elangeni Hospitality Group CEO Mike Pearson added: “We’re delighted to be working with the team at Extra MSA Group to bring our high quality Mexican food and drink to Leeds Skelton Lakes. We’re really looking forward to working with the Extra team to further enhance our presence in this pivotal market for us.”
Founded in central London in 2008 as Benito’s Hat, benito’s was among the UK’s first fast casual burrito players.
It had around eight sites at its peak but its presence has been diminished following a CVA in 2019.
