Hospitality duo Matt Harris and Tommy Kempton, who also own Clapham restaurant Ploussard, describe the move as a ‘confident progression’ for their business.

The pair launched Other Side Fried out of a converted truck in 2014 and opened their first bricks and mortar restaurant under the brand in Brixton 2017.

Following its closure, the Other Side Fried site on Atlantic Road will undergo a new fit out that will mirror that at Ploussard and feature wood panelling and neutral tones.

The Buster’s concept, which Harris and Kempton originally debuted to friends and family during the pandemic, will showcase a streamlined menu featuring burgers made with Welsh wagyu beef sourced from Alternative Meats.

Options will include a classic hamburger and cheeseburger, both served with green peppercorn dijonnaise; and a signature Buster burger featuring ‘Buster’s sauce’.

Burgers will be cooked medium and served in a potato roll that has been developed in-house.

Alongside the burgers there will be a chocolate mousse and caramel sauce dessert; while drinks will include cocktails, locally brewed beers, and pet nat by the glass.

“Buster’s feels like a confident progression from Other Side Fried,” says Kempton.

“It’s been an exciting journey, and we can’t wait to share this next chapter with Brixton, and all our amazing diners.”

Other Side Fried will continue to operate as a delivery-only brand and also appear as a pop up at festivals and private events.
