Salience Search Marketing’s annual report highlights the key players in the UK online travel booking sector, analyzing 11 performance indicators including visibility, search volume trends and brand awareness. TUI’s extensive vacation packages have solidified its leading position.

Key takeaways

  • After TUI, easyJet came in second with a 19% increase in online visibility, thanks to its low-cost flights. Skyscanner also performed well with an increase of 11% due to its user-friendly platform;
  • Wizz Air saw the biggest increase in visibility at 33%, while Ryanair saw an increase of 8%. Loveholidays, on the other hand, saw the sharpest decline with a 23% drop in organic traffic;
  • Lastminute.com and Hotels.com saw declines of 30% and 31% respectively, and even Booking.com saw a 7% drop in organic search traffic.
