Marking the first time the awards have been held in Italy, it will see chefs, restaurateurs, media and culinary icons from across the globe come together for a programme of events and talks that will culminate in the unveiling of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list.
“Turin is a culinary capital in its own right and we are thrilled to be heading there, and indeed the wider region of Piedmont, to celebrate The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025,” says William Drew, director of content for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
“The time is ripe for 50 Best to make its debut in Italy, where a culture of food and hospitality is so intrinsic to society. We look forward to gathering the global restaurant community together in this deeply historic, epicurean and charming destination.”
The announcement follows the 2024 awards, which were held earlier this summer in the US city of Las Vegas and saw Barcelona’s Disfrutar named The World’s Best Restaurant.
An extensive event programme – backed by 50 Best’s host partners, the City of Turin and Piedmont Region – will take place in the days leading up to the awards ceremony, which will be held on 19 June.
Highlights from the programme in Turin and Piedmont will include thought-leadership forum #50BestTalks; the 50 Best Signature Sessions series of collaborative dining events, which will be open to the public; and a Chefs’ Feast showcasing ingredients and cooking techniques the region is known for.
