DUSIT TO LAUNCH WELLNESS RETREAT IN INDIA: Dusit Hotels and Resorts is expanding the global footprint of its Devarana-Dusit Retreats and has announced the brand’s venture into India. Dusit Hotels, under Thailand-based Dusit International, has entered into a hotel management agreement with Shravanthi Hotels and Resorts Pvt. Ltd. to operate Devarana Sakleshpur, Karnataka – A Dusit Retreat. Slated to open in March 2028, the property will be the first Devarana hotel signed beyond China. Located in the Western Ghats in southern India, Devarana Sakleshpur, Karnataka will feature 75 luxury villas and suites, of which 25 will have private plunge pools. Besides a Devarana wellness center with a movement studio, gym and steam room, the property will offer an infinity pool, specialty restaurant and an all-day dining venue. Keen on capturing the Indian market and the rise of travel and tourism across the country, Dusit has been focusing on establishing its footprint in India. Dusit Hotels will be reentering India with the soft opening of dusitD2 Fagu near Shimla in north India this December, while four additional Dusit-branded hotels are expected to open in Karnataka in 2026. Currently, Dusit’s global portfolio includes 301 properties across 18 countries, including 57 properties under Dusit Hotels and 244 luxury villas under Elite Havens.
MOXY ADDS SECOND FLORIDA HOTEL: Moxy, the experiential lifestyle hotel brand under Marriott International, has announced the opening of its second hotel in Florida. Moxy Miami Wynwood has opened in the Wynwood Arts District and is surrounded by art galleries, entertainment, dining and shopping outlets. The new-build, eight-story hotel is a 50/50 joint venture partnership between Baywood Hotels and Dolphin Capital Partners. The hotel’s architecture was led by Miami-based Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design Inc., with interior design by New York-based iCrave, a Journey studio. The hotel consists of 120 rooms, a fitness center and a second-floor lobby with a full-service bar that also serves as the check-in area. The Moxy also has a 3,000-square-foot outdoor space off the lobby for meetings and events and a small meeting room. Since it was launched in 2014, Moxy has grown its portfolio to include more than 100 properties in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
U.S. PERFORMANCE UPDATE: The U.S. hotel industry reported positive YOY comparisons, according to CoStar’s data through November 2.

Among the top 25 markets, Tampa recorded the largest occupancy lift (+34.7% to 80.5%), due to continued displacement demand from Hurricane Milton. New Orleans saw the highest increases in ADR (+27.7% to $222.51) and RevPAR (+53.3% to $169.73). The market’s performance was driven by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and the Annual ANCC Magnet and Pathway to Excellence Conference. The steepest RevPAR declines were reported in Las Vegas (-28.8% to $151.47) and San Francisco (-14.9% to $123.16).
ME BY MELIÁ ARRIVES IN MALTA: ME by Meliá, the collection of design hotels under Meliá Hotels International, has opened a hotel in the seaside town of St. Julian’s on Malta’s north-eastern coastline. Located on the water’s edge and designed by Zaha Hadid as part of the Mercury Towers development, ME Malta marks the brand’s arrival into Malta and second collaboration with Hadid (following ME Dubai, which opened in 2020). The 20-story ME Malta features 113 rooms, 27 suites along with 35 residences showcasing ME’s signature avant-garde design. The hotel includes social and event spaces, a rooftop poolside beach club and fitness center; with a spa and rooftop bar set to open in 2025. Currently, ME by Meliá has eight hotels across Europe, Middle East, the Americas and Mexico, with more properties set to open in Malaga, Guadalajara and Lisbon.
