A demo highlights an AI successfully negotiating a group booking, but automated systems can mislead guests with false promises, illustrated by a $200 room being inaccurately described. Human oversight remains crucial: for example, accommodating regular guests during overbooked situations. Additionally, risks like "prompt injection" can compromise rates. Automation is useful for drafting, but human verification is essential for final decisions. Progress is expected by late 2025 to early 2026.

📈 Consultants are promoting AI optimization for hotels, pushing expensive courses. Trillions of permutations are involved in AI processes; it's not magic. Websites should own content, not depend on OTAs. Modern SEO terms like RAG and JSON-LD are overhyped. Operational excellence, like a 9.0 review score, outweighs tech tweaks. AI won't favor direct bookings over OTAs due to financial interests. Focus on accurate data and unique brand narratives; "AI Optimization" is just good business sense.
