WorldHotels, the soft brand within the BWH Hotels portfolio, is developing a new hotel in the country of Georgia. Located to open in Kobuleti, WorldHotels Kobuleti is scheduled to open in 2028.
Currently under construction, the new hotel will be among the first projects for WorldHotels in Georgia and will also be the first hard-branded property in the EMEA region. When it opens, WorldHotels Kobuleti will be a luxury, beachside vacation and living experience with a range of amenities and features.
Developed by Capitol HPS, the developer of BWH Hotels in Georgia, the luxury hotel is being constructed by GEUZ International. The project will include two 47-story twin towers, with a 1,100-key WordHotels-branded resort.
The resort will include restaurants and bars with panoramic views, a fitness center, spa, meeting and co-working spaces and a conference hall. The property will also offer a private beach, a 200-seat cinema, a therapy and cosmetology clinic, infinity pools and grocery and souvenir shops.
“This is an incredibly unique hotel in a one-of-a-kind destination,” said Wytze Vandenberg, vice president of international operations and WorldHotels for BWH Hotels in EMEA. “We have been involved since the early stages of this project and are excited to add it to our portfolio of properties. We are seeing tourism expand exponentially and with travelers eager to explore cultural destinations, we believe bringing WorldHotels to the beautiful country of Georgia is a natural fit.”
WorldHotels is foraying into the region at a time when tourism is witnessing impressive growth in Georgia. Citing recent data from the Georgian National Tourism Administration, WorldHotels mentioned in a release that a significant volume of Georgia’s tourism comes from neighboring countries. The Georgian government is also promoting the country as an all-season travel destination.
Kobuleti is a resort town in Georgia and WorldHotels’ new hotel will be located close to the area’s popular tourist attractions, including Petra Castle and Petra Museum, Tsitsinatela Attraction Park, Kintrishi National Park, Dendrological Park and the ‘Black Sea Arena’ concert hall.
“I am thrilled to witness the development of this luxury beachside wellness resort in Kobuleti proudly operating under the WorldHotels Elite brand,” said Sulkhan Khalvashi, managing partner of Advance Consulting LLC, GEUZ International’s consulting partner in the project. “This project is a testament to the shared commitment of elevating the hospitality experience and setting new standards in wellness tourism.”
