Hilton has opened its first hotel in Bonaire with the launch of Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The opening is part of Hilton’s ongoing expansion in the Caribbean, where it currently operates more than 45 hotels and has another 35 properties in development.
Hilton is actively growing its presence across the region, which is a key component of its broader expansion strategy in the Caribbean and Latin America.
The resort features 148 oceanfront rooms along with an on-site dive center. Guests can also enjoy two outdoor pools, a beach and dining options inspired by the island’s culinary traditions.
“With its distinct character, Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire is a natural fit for Tapestry Collection by Hilton,” said Jenna Hackett, senior vice president and global leader, Hilton Lifestyle Brands. “Inspired by Bonaire’s pristine nature and its rich cultural identity, Delfins Beach Resort provides guests with spiritedly local cuisine and proximity to world-class diving that allow them to authentically experience the best of the island.”
The resort also has a beach spa, gym and meeting spaces, including a ballroom that can accommodate up to 150 people and a boardroom for up to 15 guests.
“With the island’s growing appeal to the American market and the increase in air travel, Hilton’s broad scale and the global Hilton Honors loyalty program will help us attract more American visitors,” said Chris Opgenoort, general manager of Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire.
Hilton’s expansion across the Caribbean and Latin America includes plans to open Zemi Miches All-inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton in early 2025. The 500-room property, located on Playa Esmeralda, will join Hilton’s portfolio, followed by Hampton by Hilton St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands later that year. Hilton is also planning to expand into Dominica and Guyana in the coming years.
Earlier this month, Hilton also expanded into Paraguay with the opening of Palmaroga Hotel Asuncion, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, marking the company’s first hotel in the country.
