Meliá Hotels International is expanding its presence in Italy with the upcoming opening of Meliá Venezia Lido in June 2025. This new addition is part of the brand’s ongoing growth in the country, where it currently operates eight hotels and has six more in development.
The Meliá Venezia Lido will be located in Lido di Venezia, one of the barrier islands of Venice, offering a setting with convenient access to the city’s historic landmarks, while it is 20 minutes by ferry from Piazza San Marco.

The hotel is housed in a 1920s building, which is currently undergoing renovations to align with Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand standards. The 60-room property will feature a combination of contemporary design and functionality, creating a environment for both leisure and business travelers. Additionally, guests will have access to an on-site restaurant and bar offering a selection of local and international cuisine.

Meliá Venezia Lido will be operated by SoGes Group Spa, while the hotel will also receive support from the Spanish group in areas such as distribution and loyalty programs to enhance the guest experience.
The launch of Meliá Venezia Lido is part of Meliá Hotels International’s broader expansion in Italy. With several new properties under development, the group continues to strengthen its presence in the region.
