HEI Hotels & Resorts has taken over the management of Claremont Resort & Club Berkeley, a hotel in Berkeley, Calif., owned by Texas-based Ohana Real Estate Investors. The addition expands HEI’s portfolio to 103 properties across the U.S.

The 276-room Claremont Resort & Club Berkeley includes 21,000 square feet of meeting space and offers views of the San Francisco Bay. “We’re excited to partner with HEI Hotels & Resorts as Claremont Resort & Club begins a new chapter in its storied history,” said James Cole, partner at Ohana Real Estate Investors. “HEI Hotels & Resorts is known for its unrivaled service and myriad guest experiences, and we’re looking forward to elevating the offering at Claremont under their leadership – not just for hotel guests, but for the surrounding community as well.”

The property includes the Spa at the Claremont and multiple food and beverage outlets like Limewood, a casual dining restaurant showcasing Californian and classical American cuisine by chef Joseph Paire.

The resort is also home to The Club at the Claremont, which provides eight tennis courts, four pickleball courts, three outdoor pools and a fitness facility.
