Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of four new hotels in Bergen, Norway, strengthening its portfolio in the region and marking the introduction of two new brands to the Nordic market. The development, in partnership with Magic Norway AS, adds 519 rooms across the properties, with openings scheduled in the coming months.

This strategic expansion enhances Radisson Hotel Group’s presence in Bergen, a city known for its cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and tourism appeal. Located between fjords and mountains, Bergen offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities, attracting both domestic and international travelers.

Radisson Individuals debuts in the Nordics

Two of the new properties will operate under the Radisson Individuals brand, which allows hotels to maintain their – character while benefiting from Radisson’s global standards.

The Magic Kloverhuset Harbour Hotel, a member of Radisson Individuals, features 157 units, including 137 guest rooms and 20 apartments. Positioned on the Strandkaien street, it offers direct access to the harbor, the city’s fish market, and express boats to the fjords. The hotel includes an à la carte restaurant, a wine and cocktail bar, and a rooftop terrace bar.

“We are thrilled to announce these additions to our portfolio in Norway, marking a relevant milestone in our journey in the Nordics. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration with Magic Norway AS and are grateful for their trust in our brands. These new signings represent our relentless dedication to providing exciting opportunities and possibilities to our guests and owners”. – Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group

The Magic Hotel Bergen City Center, a member of Radisson Individuals, offers 90 rooms along with a bar and restaurant. Its location near the UNESCO World Heritage site Bryggen and just 100 meters from the harbor places guests close to Bergen’s main cultural and commercial attractions.

Prize by Radisson launches in the region

Radisson Hotel Group will also introduce Prize by Radisson, its lifestyle midscale brand designed for cost-efficient operations while offering a modern guest experience.

The Prize by Radisson, Solheimsviken Bergen, will open later this year, featuring 217 rooms and views of the city’s surroundings. Located near key business areas and two kilometers from the city center, it offers easy access to dining, entertainment, and transport options.

“I’m delighted that with these signings we are going back to our Scandinavian roots and are able to expand our footprint in Norway with the introduction of the first Radisson Individual and Prize by Radisson hotels. Bergen’s breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture align perfectly with our mission to provide exceptional experiences in extraordinary destinations. With these new properties, we are represented with five hotels and three exciting brands in Bergen,” – Adela Cristea, Vice President Business Development for Northern and Western Europe, Radisson Hotel Group.

The Prize by Radisson, Xhibition Bergen City is situated in the heart of Bergen, within the Xhibition shopping center. The 55-room hotel is a short walk from Grieghallen, a cultural and conference venue attracting thousands of visitors annually.

With an increasing number of international visitors to Norway and business travelers seeking renowned hotel groups, we have great confidence that our collaboration with Radisson Hotel Group will bring great results”“Radisson Hotel Group has a strong presence in several key markets, has several solid brands, and presents itself very professionally in all contexts. By being the first hotels in Norway and the Nordic region to launch these new concepts, we believe it will also generate significant interest from guests and clients.” –  Jon Arild Hellebust, Group Director of Magic Norway

Strengthening a leading position in the Nordics

With these additions, Radisson Hotel Group reinforces its leading position in the Nordic hospitality sector. The Group operates a wide range of brands across the region, including Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson, and Park Inn by Radisson. Its Nordic portfolio now exceeds 50 hotels in operation or under development.

These new openings reflect Radisson’s strategy to grow its presence in key European destinations while diversifying its brand offering to meet evolving market needs.
