TPG Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation’s premier hospitality management firms, announced the Veranda House will reopen on April 1, 2025. Owned by The Procaccianti Companies, the Veranda House is part of the esteemed Nantucket Resort Collection and follows a meticulous, full-scale restoration necessitated by a 2022 fire that led to the building’s complete demolition.
The comprehensive rebuild was executed in close collaboration with the Town of Nantucket and the Historic District Commission to preserve the property’s original charm and historic character. The restoration faithfully honors Veranda House’s historic roots by replicating its original size, scale, and signature architectural elements. The property now features enhanced amenities, ADA-compliant facilities, and state-of-the-art life safety and information technology systems, ensuring an elevated guest experience while maintaining its timeless appeal.

Originally established in 1684, this distinctive federal-style mansion is renowned for its intricate wraparound verandas, making it an iconic staple in Nantucket’s historic downtown. The property offers 19 elegantly appointed rooms, ranging from Petite Queen accommodations to the luxurious Grand Harborview King, featuring a fireplace and private balcony with stunning views of Nantucket Harbor. All rooms are designed with spa-like en-suite baths, showcasing Carrera marble, custom fixtures, and updated walk-in showers.
