Capella Taipei is set to open on April 1, Capella Hotel Group’s first property in Taiwan.

Located on Dunhua North Road, the hotel is set within one of Taipei’s most sought-after districts, offering proximity to business centers, shopping and cultural attractions. The 86-room property includes eight suites and six accommodations with private pool terraces. Five dining venues and a 14th-floor pool terrace provide views of the city skyline, including Taipei 101.

“Capella Taipei represents a pivotal milestone in our strategic expansion, bringing our distinctive approach to hospitality to Taiwan’s evolving luxury landscape,” said Cristiano Rinaldi, president of Capella Hotel Group. “Our entrance into Taipei aligns with Taiwan’s vision to elevate its position as a premier destination for discerning global travelers.”

The hotel is housed within a structure developed in collaboration with Tokyo-based Mori Building Group and designed by interior designer André Fu. The concept of a “modern mansion” blends bespoke luxury with cultural heritage, incorporating light-filled spaces and design elements that reflect Taipei’s urban landscape.

Capella Taipei features the brand’s signature service elements, including The Living Room, where Capella Culturists curate personalized guest experiences, and Capella Curates, offering tailored interactions with Taipei’s artisans, culinary experts and cultural landmarks.

Dining options include Ember 28, which focuses on fire-cooked Western cuisine, and Plume, a lobby lounge offering afternoon tea with a mural by French artist Elsa Jeandedieu. Atelier Plume combines French patisserie techniques with Taiwanese ingredients. Additional culinary venues will be announced.

“Taiwan’s profound heritage has inspired every facet of this property, from the nuanced architecture to the intuitive hospitality,” Rinaldi added. “Capella Taipei stands as both a refined sanctuary and a portal through which the city’s cultural and culinary landscape can be explored.”

The opening of Capella Taipei aligns with Taiwan’s tourism growth strategy and ongoing infrastructure developments, including new international flight routes. Capella Hotel Group continues its expansion in key markets, adding to its existing portfolio of luxury properties.
