Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group will convert Park City Peaks Hotel in Park City, Utah into Hotel Thaynes, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel after the 128-key property undergoes a $21-million renovation with completion expected in October.
The renovation will update guestrooms, public spaces and amenities, matching more with Tribute Portfolio’s standards. Select rooms will have balconies and bathrooms will feature walk-in showers and expanded vanity areas. Skiers will have dedicated storage areas, while spa-inspired spaces will offer relaxation options.
Versante Hearth + Bar, the on-site restaurant, will remain, keeping its menu and atmosphere while integrating into the new design.
Minutes from Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort, the hotel has shuttle service to ski areas and Main Street’s shops and restaurants. The design will draw inspiration from Park City’s history, referencing the Thaynes Canyon mining district through curated art and decor.
Guests will have access to an indoor pool, an expanded sauna and a heated outdoor pool and hot tub. A fitness center, steam room, fire pits and an outdoor BBQ area will be available.
“Park City has a one-of-a-kind spirit, and Hotel Thaynes will embody that energy while bringing a refreshing, boutique experience to visitors and the community,” said Jamie Caraher, president and CEO of Lodging Dynamics. “This renovation will enhance every aspect of the hotel, from the guest rooms to the social spaces, while embracing the indie spirit and character that make Tribute Portfolio hotels so special.”
During the renovation, the hotel will remain open. Upon completion, Hotel Thaynes will offer a design that reflects Park City’s character, with local partnerships and experiences that connect guests to the city’s culture and outdoor activities. As part of Marriott Bonvoy’s Tribute Portfolio, the hotel will provide independent, design-focused hospitality while maintaining a sense of place.
Tribute Portfolio includes more than 150 hotels in nearly 30 countries. Hotel Thaynes will join this collection, blending boutique hospitality with a connection to its surroundings.
As a member of Tribute Portfolio, Hotel Thaynes will participate in Marriott Bonvoy, allowing members to earn and redeem points at the property and other Marriott hotels.
