Treehouse Hotel Manchester recently opened, the Starwood Hotels‘ brand’s second U.K. location. Situated at Blackfriars Street and Deansgate, the hotel has 200 guestrooms and a signature design that blends greenery with reclaimed materials. This new property follows the opening of Treehouse Hotel London and Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley in California.
The hotel’s design centers on an indoor-outdoor tree in the lobby, setting the tone for a space that celebrates youthfulness and creativity.

In addition to its design, the hotel includes multiple dining and entertainment options. Pip by Mary-Ellen McTague, located on the ground floor, is the first of the food outlets. The Nest in Treehouse, a bar, and Sister Moon, a restaurant, will open later in 2025. The hotel also offers event spaces that can accommodate up to 400 people.

The hotel emphasizes sustainability, using eco-conscious materials throughout. It features a rooftop apiary, a green wall facade and is pursuing BREEAM Very Good and Green Key certifications. The guest rooms, which offer views of Manchester, are designed with green tiles and concrete basins in the bathrooms.
The property offers numerous amenities, including a screening room, artist-in-residence program and a retail space. The hotel also features a gym, a rooftop lounge and communal spaces, such as tables for guests to gather. It is dog-friendly and supports local charities. The hotel is designed to be a cultural hub, offering workshops, live music, DJ sets, film screenings, board games and interactive installations.
