Premier Inn Germany, is reinforcing its growth strategy in the German market with the development of a new hotel in Munich’s Werksviertel district. Scheduled to open in 2028, the project marks the brand’s seventh location in the Bavarian capital.

The future hotel will be located on the iCampus site, near the Ostbahnhof (Eastern Train Station), a transit hub offering direct connections across Munich and beyond. The property will feature approximately 190 rooms across six floors, along with 50 underground parking spaces, while the total gross area will be around 6,850 square meters.

The hotel will be housed within the “i10” building complex, the final plot available on the iCampus. Developed by Munich-based R&S Immobilienmanagement GmbH, the complex is part of a broader mixed-use urban development that includes office spaces, serviced apartments, and gastronomy concepts. The architectural design, led by Beer Bembé Dellinger, pays tribute to the industrial heritage of the area while aligning with the district’s urban aesthetic.

“Munich is one of Germany’s strongest hotel markets. We are therefore delighted to have this prime location in the Werksviertel. This former industrial district combines not only architecture, but also culture and art.” – Chris-Norman Sauer, Acquisitions Director at Premier Inn.

Premier Inn currently operates 61 hotels across Germany and Vienna, with an additional 39 properties under development. The brand’s ongoing expansion supports its positioning as a leading player in the value-driven segment, offering well-designed accommodation at accessible price points.
