Room Mate Hotels continues to expand its presence across Europe with the recent opening of the Room Mate Collection Mia in Rome. The new property, a redesign of the former Capo d’Africa hotel, is set to enhance the city’s offering with its distinct approach to comfort and design.

New addition to Rome’s hospitality scene

The Room Mate Collection Mia hotel, located just minutes from some of Rome’s most famous landmarks, is a 65-room boutique hotel that combines modern aesthetics with comfort.

Designed by interior designer Luis García Fraile, the hotel promises to offer guests a memorable stay with its carefully curated rooms and public spaces, all aligned with the brand’s focus on quality hospitality.

“The goal is to offer a memorable experience through an all-encompassing approach to comfort and guest satisfaction,” said Kike Sarasola, the founder of Room Mate Hotels. The opening of Room Mate Collection Mia is part of the brand’s larger expansion across Europe.

Room Mate’s growing Italian portfolio

Room Mate Hotels now operates several establishments in Italy, including hotels in Florence, Milan, and Venice. With the opening of Room Mate Collection Mia, the company strengthens its position in the Italian market, one of the brand’s key growth areas.

“This opening in Rome marks another milestone for us. Italy remains a priority market, and I’m thrilled to continue our growth here,” said Kike Sarasola. The Mia hotel joins Room Mate’s other properties in the region, all designed to cater to the needs of modern travelers.

Expanding across Europe

Room Mate’s expansion isn’t limited to Italy. The brand has also announced significant investments in other parts of Europe. This includes the renovation of the Room Mate Aitana in Amsterdam, designed by the renowned architect Tomás Alía.

Furthermore, Room Mate Hotels has acquired the Staying Valencia group, adding ten new properties to its portfolio, as part of its strategy to enhance its presence and offer across the European hospitality sector.

“These investments reflect our commitment to innovation and quality, both of which are essential to the success of Room Mate Hotels. By offering personalized, high-quality services, we aim to increase tourism and contribute positively to local economies, especially in cities like Rome.” – Kike Sarasola, founder of Room Mate Hotels

As Room Mate Hotels continues its expansion strategy, the new Room Mate Collection Mia and the ongoing renovations in other European cities underscore the brand’s focus on enhancing its service offerings while staying rooted in the local cultures of the cities it operates in.
