“We’re delighted to open the doors to London Chiswick Travelodge, as we are very proud of this excellent addition to our London estate. Chiswick is a thriving area for visitors, tourists and business travellers with key attractions and transport links into the city on its doorstep. » “This hotel has been built to high standards, with sustainability an important factor of its planning. It also features our new premium look and feel design with our redesigned reception area and next generation rooms, as well as our brand new restaurant concept, 85 Bar Cafe. We are looking forward to welcoming our guests to experience this new hotel. – Steve Bennett, chief property and development officer at Travelodge
Design and amenities
The hotel features a contemporary design, including a newly revamped reception area and next-generation rooms. The 85 Bar Cafe, a new restaurant concept, offers a variety of dining options for both business and leisure guests.
The property aims to provide an environment for all types of travelers, with facilities designed for relaxation and convenience.
Sustainability features
Sustainability has been a key focus in the design of the new hotel. The building holds a BREEAM Excellent rating and an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of A. The hotel uses air source heat pumps to generate hot water and incorporates energy-saving features such as low-energy lighting, motion-sensing controls, and water-efficient showers and taps. Additionally, the hotel has a ‘living’ roof covered with vegetation, contributing to local biodiversity.
“We are continuing to focus on growing our hotel portfolio, with over 300 locations identified for new hotels across the UK – over 100 of which have been identified in London. This would create even more jobs and provide further choice and great value to business and leisure travellers visiting London and the UK.” -Steve Bennett, chief property and development officer at Travelodge
Growth and job creation
The opening of the Chiswick hotel is part of Travelodge’s expansion strategy. The hotel has created 20 new jobs for the local community and is one of several new properties under development. Travelodge currently has additional hotels under construction in locations including Skegness, Harwich, Bromsgrove, and across London in Beckenham, Stratford, and Upminster.
The company has identified over 300 potential locations for future hotels, including more than 100 sites in London. These efforts are part of Travelodge’s ongoing plan to expand its network and provide more options for travelers across the UK.
