Malvern’s only 3 AA Rosette restaurant will be unveiling a new fine dining tasting menu on 1st May, and introducing its new Brasserie offer for more casual fare.

The 3 AA Rosette dining room will be unveiling a new look as well as offering a redesigned menu from head chef Mark Potts. The stylish dining room will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights only, offering a seven-course tasting menu featuring the finest seasonal and local produce.

The extended menu takes diners on a journey of discovery from Isle of Wight tomato salad to wild mushrooms, spiced monkfish and salt-aged duck breast, with salted caramel tart and handmade chocolates to finish.

The seven-course tasting menu at 1919 restaurant is priced at £95 per head. Guests will also have the option to add a further two courses chosen from daily specials, created from ultra-seasonal ingredients.

More relaxed dining is also available from 16 April in the new Brasserie, with an à la carte menu of small plates (from £13.50) and larger plates (from £22.50) as well as a 5-course tasting menu (£75 per head).

Mix and match marinated burrata with ham hock and smoked haddock rarebit, or dive into a Cottage Classic including The Cottage Pie, honey glazed duck or the catch of the day fish, freshly delivered from Cornwall.

The Brasserie will be open daily for dinner, with the tasting menu available for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday. Sunday service of course includes traditional roasts, along with a selection of alternative choices.

Head Chef Mark Potts is the creative lead behind the new menus after joining the team last year.

His key influences of seasonal and high quality, sustainably sourced ingredients are evident throughout while the seven courses take diners on a global taste tour around the world drawing on Asian, South American, European and British cuisine.

Owner Nick Davies says: “This summer marks ten years since we first bought The Cottage in the Wood, and it seems fitting to mark the occasion by taking our restaurants to the next level. The new menus that Mark and his team have created certainly do that, while the incredible views that guests enjoy while dining are still as spectacular as ever.”
