City Roots Hospitality and restaurateur Guy Vaknin plan Reverie, a vegan dessert and cocktail bar, to open in May in New York City’s Williamsburg.

The opening is planned for May 14 in Brooklyn, N.Y., a spokesperson said. City Roots also owns Beyond Sushi, Willow, Coletta, Anixi, Sentir, and Le Basque.

The menu is crafted by Makenna Hale, executive pastry chef, and showcases desserts and savory appetizers.

Among the dishes planned are signature desserts that mimic natural elements, such as “The Rainbow,” featuring fruit, florals, and items like rosewater meringue and ube streusel. To balance the menu, Reverie will offer a selection of appetizers and light bites that complement the sweet offerings.

“Our vision is to elevate dessert beyond the expected, where senses are heightened and the palette uncovers a surprise with each bite,” said Vaknin and Hale in a statement. “We are redefining what dessert can be—artful, immersive, and truly unforgettable.”

The location, designed by Studio RB, features natural materials and also offers private dining and full-space rentals.
