The Pierre NY, A Taj Hotel, one of New York’s most iconic and luxurious hotels, is delighted to announce the appointment of Vincenzo Garofalo as its new Executive Chef. He brings a wealth of culinary expertise and a passion for innovative cuisine to the legendary hotel, further solidifying The Pierre’s commitment to providing an unparalleled dining experience.

In his new role, Chef Garofalo will oversee all culinary operations at The Pierre, including Perrine, The Rotunda, TwoE Lounge, room service and banquets. He will be responsible for developing new menus, managing the culinary team, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service across all dining venues. As The Pierre NY celebrates its 95th Anniversary throughout 2025, Executive Chef Garofalo will be developing a series of special menus and dishes that showcase the culinary leadership throughout the hotel’s grand history.

Born and raised in Italy, Executive Chef Garofalo graduated from culinary school in Naples before gaining invaluable experience at Michelin-starred establishments across Italy. In 2013, Vincenzo moved to New York City, where he served as Executive Sous Chef at Sirio Ristorante at The Pierre Hotel, followed by his role as Chef de Cuisine at the iconic Le Cirque. He has worked alongside some of the leading chefs in the world, as well as running his own 5-star Italian restaurant, Senso Unico in Sunnyside, NY.

In 2023, Vincenzo returned to The Pierre NY as Executive Banquet Chef, bringing with him well-rounded skills in culinary arts, procurement, budgeting, and leadership. His commitment to excellence and innovation makes him a key figure in the evolving world of hospitality.
