tristar Austria GmbH will operate a new ibis Styles hotel in Wörgl, Austria, scheduled to open in early 2028, as part of a €100 million district redevelopment project.
Accor and tristar GmbH have announced the upcoming opening of ibis Styles Wörgl, their first joint project in the Austrian Alps. The hotel is part of the large-scale Wörgl Mitte urban development being led by Thurner Immobilien Gruppe in collaboration with Sparkasse Kufstein. The new hotel is expected to open in the first quarter of 2028.
The ibis Styles Wörgl will feature 104 rooms across approximately 3,800 square metres of usable space. It will be located on a 6,800 square metre site formerly occupied by older hotels and office buildings. The location offers direct access to major regional transport connections, and is situated near the B171 arterial road. Düsseldorf Airport is approximately 35 kilometers away.
In addition to the hotel, the broader Wörgl Mitte development will include new residential units, office spaces, restaurants, and a new Sparkasse building housing bank offices, exhibition areas, a café, and a rooftop sky bar. A two-level underground garage with 321 parking spaces will serve both guests and the general public.
According to Accor, the project supports their ongoing strategy to expand the ibis brand family in both urban and leisure destinations. The Wörgl location follows the recent launch of a dual-branded ibis and ibis budget hotel at Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
Construction of the new quarter is scheduled to begin in 2026 following demolition works in 2025. The ibis Styles Wörgl is expected to open to guests in the first quarter of 2028.
