Leonardo Hotels Central Europe is expanding its presence in the Rhine-Main region with the opening of the Leonardo Mainz in August 2025. The hotel is undergoing renovations to provide modern accommodations for both leisure and business travelers.

Strategic expansion in the Rhine-Main region

Leonardo Hotels Central Europe aims to strengthen its market presence with the new Leonardo Mainz, set to be its seventh hotel in the region. This addition reflects the company’s focus on growing its footprint in a region known for its economic vitality.

“The Leonardo Mainz represents a targeted strengthening of our position in the Rhine-Main area and will expand our regional presence to seven hotels,” This is a strategically important step for us in one of the most economically dynamic parts of Germany. The hotel combines stylish design with contemporary levels of comfort and will establish a first-class environment for leisure and business travellers alike.”– Yoram Biton, Managing Director of Leonardo Hotels Central Europe.

Design and facilities for business and leisure travelers

Designed by interior architect Andreas Neudahm, the Leonardo Mainz will offer 217 rooms and suites. The hotel will feature interiors with contemporary comfort, an inviting lobby, a bar, and a restaurant with a terrace. The “Kasematten,” an atmospheric bar located in a vaulted cellar, is another key highlight.

The Ryder Cup gets underway later this month in New York. A new Hampton Inn opened just in time.

For business and event needs, the hotel will offer 13 conference rooms with a total space of 225 square meters. Additionally, the hotel will feature a health and wellness area with a pool, two saunas, and a whirlpool—ideal for guests looking to relax after a busy day.

“The Leonardo Mainz sends out a strong signal of continuous growth in markets of strategic relevance. The excellent location, the multitude of opportunities on offer and the hotel’s modern fixtures and fittings all make it a valuable addition to our portfolio.” – Jan Heringa, Vice President Development at Leonardo Hotels Central Europe, highlighted the strategic importance of the Leonardo Mainz

A prime location in Mainz

The hotel’s location is another significant advantage, situated just minutes from Mainz’s historic old town. Guests will have easy access to cultural attractions, including the Citadel of Mainz, the Roman Theatre, and numerous dining and cultural venues, making it an ideal base for both business and leisure.

The new hotel is managed by Gloram Real Estate on behalf of a property company run by two family offices, signaling ongoing investment in the region.

As Leonardo Hotels continues to expand, the new property in Mainz reinforces its commitment to providing high-quality, well-located accommodations for travelers in key European markets.
