NYX Hotels, part of the Leonardo Hotels group, is set to open the NYX Hotel Berlin Köpenick in May 2025. Located along the River Dahme, in Berlin’s Köpenick district, the 190-room hotel will offer a combination of creative design, modern amenities, and a convenient location near Köpenick Palace.

Design and artistic approach

The design of the NYX Hotel Berlin Köpenick reflects the brand’s focus on art and contemporary design. The hotel features works by local artists, such as Mirko Reisser (DAIM), who has contributed large-scale murals and sculptural pieces. The interiors, designed by Andreas Neudahm, include open, inviting spaces with a mix of vibrant colors and functional design elements that align with the lifestyle-focused ethos of the brand.

“The NYX Hotel Berlin Köpenick signals a new and unconventional approach to running a city hotel,” It is inspirational, urban and design-oriented. This launch also underlines Leonardo Hotels’ strategy of pursuing growth in top central locations in a targeted way. The new hotel’s special riverside setting, modern infrastructure and creative spirit all make it a strong addition to our portfolio. It epitomises our ambition to fire the enthusiasms of our guests and to act as a source of inspiration whilst also offering the highest levels of comfort.” – Yoram Biton, Managing Director Leonardo Hotels Central Europe.

Dining & social spaces

The hotel will feature a restaurant offering casual dining with an international menu, as well as a bar. The open lobby area will serve as a social hub, with comfortable seating areas and an inviting atmosphere. The large outdoor terrace overlooking the water will be a key space for relaxation, summer parties, and events.

Event and leisure spaces

The hotel will cater to both business and leisure guests with 14 event spaces totaling 912 square meters. The conference rooms are equipped with technology and natural daylight, providing flexible options for meetings and events. In addition, the hotel will feature a fitness center, a sauna, and access to outdoor activities like stand-up paddling and cycling tours around the nearby Lake Müggelsee.

“The NYX Hotel Berlin Köpenick constitutes a robust continuation of our lifestyle concept. Design, art and attitude meld into a hotel experience which extends far beyond the accepted norm. NYX Hotels embody a new generation of lifestyle hotels. They are individual and expressive and have deep roots in local culture. Each hotel is a one-off with its own impressive design, art and creative energy. This firm differentiation generates emotional loyalty to the brand and also opens up an extraordinary degree of potential in selected city locations all over the world.” – Jan Heringa, Vice President Development Leonardo Hotels Central Europe

With its proximity to public transportation, the hotel offers convenient access to Berlin’s city center, making it suitable for both business and leisure travelers.

This opening in Berlin is part of the continued expansion of the NYX Hotels brand in Europe, as the group plans to open additional properties, including the upcoming NYX Hotel in Rome.
