easyHotel has continued its expansion in Spain with the opening of three new hotels in Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia.

These additions increase the brand’s footprint in Spain, bringing its total portfolio in the country to five locations, including its existing hotels in Barcelona and Malaga.

Strategic locations

The new easyHotel properties are located in prime areas of each city, providing convenient access to key tourist and business destinations.

– easyHotel Madrid Alcalá: Located in the San Blas district, this hotel offers 77 rooms starting. The property provides access to landmarks such as the Royal Palace, Parque del Río, and Santiago Bernabéu stadium. Key amenities include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, blackout curtains, 24-hour reception, and electric vehicle charging stations with four on-site charging points.
– easyHotel Barcelona La Sagrera: Scheduled to open in July 2025, this hotel is well-connected to the rest of the city, with the city center just 20 minutes away. Guests will enjoy access to 75 rooms, including double, twin, and accessible rooms, all equipped with four-star quality mattresses, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and blackout curtains. The hotel will also offer a continental breakfast buffet and is built with low-carbon rooms, resulting in reduced CO2 emissions over the building’s lifecycle.
– easyHotel Valencia Ciutat Vella: Set to open in August 2025, this property in Valencia’s Old Town will feature 95 rooms, including single, double, and triple rooms. It will offer similar amenities, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, blackout curtains, and a 24-hour reception service. The hotel is ideally located close to popular sites like Valencia Cathedral, Turia Gardens, and the Central Market.

“We’re delighted to see significant progress in our rollout in Spain. With the opening of three hotels this year alone, we remain true to our mission: to offer quality sleep, intelligent design and unbeatable access to the city, all at an affordable price. No matter where you travel, be it Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia, easyHotel makes travel more affordable and accessible in Spain’s major cities. We look forward to welcoming our customers as our hotels open throughout the year, to offer them the best of Spain.” – Karim Malak, easyHotel CEO

These new openings cater to both leisure and business travelers, with each property offering easy access to public transportation, making them suitable for international visitors as well. These openings come after the announcement of easyhotel’s latest project in Ferney-Voltaire, France,  which is expected to open in early 2027.

Sustainability focus and with a low-carbon design

easyHotel’s new locations are designed with sustainability in mind. The brand has adopted low-carbon room designs that result in 21% fewer CO2 emissions over their lifecycle compared to typical hotel buildings. The hotels also include energy-efficient features, such as air conditioning, blackout curtains, and free Wi-Fi. The brand’s approach reflects its ongoing commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its operations while offering affordable stays.

Plans for continued growth

easyHotel plans to continue expanding in Spain and across Europe. In addition to the three new openings this year, the brand aims to further increase its presence with additional properties planned in other cities. easyHotel is also planning to open a hotel in Alicante by 2026, marking another step in its growth strategy.

The expansion of easyHotel in Spain aligns with the growing demand for budget-friendly yet sustainable lodging options. Spain continues to attract a large number of international visitors, with projections for foreign tourism reaching 90 million by 2024. easyHotel’s expansion provides additional choices for cost-conscious travelers looking for well-located and eco-friendly accommodations.
