easyHotel has added three properties in Spain, increasing its portfolio in the country to five. The new hotels are located in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, with Madrid Alcalá now open and the other two scheduled to launch this summer.
The openings bring easyHotel’s total room count in Spain to more than 250. Existing properties include hotels in Barcelona Fira and Málaga. The brand’s Spanish expansion follows its model of low-carbon and budget-friendly city hotels.
The newly opened easyHotel Madrid Alcalá is in the San Blas district. According to the brand, rooms start at £65 per night, and the nearby metro station connects guests to sites like the Royal Palace of Madrid, Parque del Río and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
The Barcelona La Sagrera property is scheduled to open July 7. It offers access to the city center in about 20 minutes by public transit. easyHotel stated that business travelers will benefit from proximity to the 22@ innovation district, noting that rates start from £65.
easyHotel Ciutat Vella in Valencia is expected to open in August. Rooms will start at £52 per night. The hotel is located within walking distance of Valencia Cathedral, the Central Market and the Turia Garden.
Each of the three new properties features easyHotel’s standard amenities, including four-star style mattresses, free high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning and blackout curtains.
All new easyHotels are designed with what the company calls its “smart low-carbon room design.” According to the brand, the rooms generate 21% less carbon dioxide over a 50-year lifecycle than those of its competitors.
Guests can choose to pay for only the services they need, such as a continental breakfast buffet. The model mirrors that of easyJet, the brand’s sister company.
Spain remains a priority market for easyHotel. In 2024, the country saw an estimated 90 million international visitors, with record-breaking levels during the summer. The company has a planned opening in Alicante for 2026.
“We are thrilled to see the significant progress of our rollout in Spain. As we open three hotels this year alone, we are staying true to our mission to provide great sleep, smart design and unbeatable city access at an affordable price. No matter where you are travelling, whether it is Madrid, Barcelona, or Valencia, easyHotel is making travel more affordable and accessible across Spain’s major cities. We look forward to welcoming guests as our hotels open throughout the year, offering the best of Spain,” said Karim Malak, CEO of easyHotel.
