DoubleTree by Hilton has achieved a milestone with the opening of its 700th hotel and its expansion into 60 countries and territories. Over the past year, the upscale hotel brand, welcomed more than 40 new properties, including its first hotels in Malta, Laos, and the Azores Islands.
The brand’s expansion into these new markets demonstrates its strong growth trajectory since it first moved beyond the Americas in 2008. Recent additions include properties in key global destinations such as DoubleTree by Hilton Nice Centre Iconic in France and DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane in Laos. The latter marks Hilton’s first presence in Laos, adding to the brand’s global footprint.

– DoubleTree by Hilton Lagoa Azores in Lagoa, Portugal : The hotel is surrounded by volcanic landscapes and lush greenery. The property also features local cuisine and easy access to landmarks like Lagoa do Fogo and Sete Cidades.
– DoubleTree by Hilton Kars Sarikamis in Kars, Türkiye : The hote marks Hilton’s first ski resort in Türkiye. It features a health club with an indoor pool, Turkish bath and treatment rooms, a lobby bar, game room, on-site ski rental, ski-in access and direct lift entry.

Looking ahead, the brand has more than 240 hotels in development, with several key openings planned in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Notable projects include the DoubleTree by Hilton Mangroovy El Gouna Resort in Egypt and the DoubleTree by Hilton Casablanca City Centre in Morocco. With a strong development pipeline, DoubleTree by Hilton also leads Hilton’s portfolio in conversions, with approximately 40% of the brand’s new openings in the first quarter of 2025 coming through the conversion of existing properties.
