Worldwide: Preferred Travel Group (PTG) has named Philipp Weghmann as its chief development officer (CDO) and president of Beyond Green.

In the dual role, Weghmann will oversee PTG’s global development efforts and collaborate with departmental and regional leadership teams to implement strategies for brand expansion and portfolio alignment.

His role will also extend across PTG’s Integrated Quality Assurance and Alliance Partner programmes.

Weghmann most recently served as vice president and global brand leader for The Luxury Collection at Marriott International. Before his tenure at Marriott, Weghmann held several titles at PTG and collectively has more than 20 years of experience in hospitality.

Lindsay Ueberroth, CEO of Preferred Travel Group, said: “As we look to the future of our company, this new leadership role is a pivotal step in reinforcing our long-term vision for thoughtful growth and purpose-driven hospitality. Philipp brings a deep understanding of our brand DNA, a proven global track record, and a passion for people and planet that aligns well with our ambitions across all business verticals.
