Charlestowne Hotels has appointed Alicia Carr as vice president of finance. Carr will lead financial operations across Charlestowne’s growing collection of hotels and food and beverage outlets, overseeing strategic planning, budgeting and performance analysis.
Carr brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the hospitality sector to her new role. She most recently served as vice president of finance at Collegiate Hotel Group, where she helped in the company’s expansion from 31 to 57 properties and the sale and transition of all Graduate properties onto the Graduate by Hilton brand.
“Strong financial leadership is foundational to the way we scale our operations while driving strong revenue and elevating the guest experience,” said Kyle Hughey, chief executive officer of Charlestowne Hotels. “Alicia brings the experience, precision, and strategic mindset needed to help our growing portfolio reach new heights. Her ability to align financial structure with long-term, individualized ownership goals will be instrumental as we continue expanding into high-performing, competitive markets.”
Additional career highlights of Carr include over a decade of senior leadership at independent hospitality group Bunkhouse Management, serving in various roles, including vice president of finance and corporate controller.
Carr will oversee the company’s 12-person accounting team and will be responsible for company-wide capital planning, performance analysis and the development of scalable financial systems tailored to the needs of individual properties.
“Joining Charlestowne feels like a natural next step,” said Carr. “This is a company that celebrates the individuality of each of its hotels, supports entrepreneurial thinking, and collaborates closely with owners to deliver financial success in innovative and creative ways. I’m excited to bring my expertise and approach to a team focused on thoughtful growth and delivering exceptional experiences.”
