Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa in Wiltshire, England is poised to become the flagship property within Accor’s Emblems Collection, joining in late 2025. Accor launched Emblems in 2021, a collection of “high-end, boutique-style” hotels.
Currently operating as a country house hotel, Lucknam Park will become the first Emblems property under the Heritage category, honoring its past while aligning with the brand’s emphasis on “intimate luxury, unique character, elevated design and bespoke service.” The hotel will undergo updates designed to preserve its identity while reflecting the Emblems ethos of “Artisans of the Extraordinary.”
Emblems’ other categories are Retreat and Signature.
“Emblems Collection is built around the concept of quiet luxury, where true elegance is found in the timeless sense of exclusivity and space. Our focus is on selecting landmark boutique hotels that allow our guests to reconnect with themselves, away from the noise of the world. In a fast-paced world, we value privacy and tranquility, providing an environment where luxury is not loud, but felt deeply. Every Emblems hotel offers a sanctuary – an authentic, personal experience in stunning destinations. This vision resonates deeply with Chloe, whose commitment to craftsmanship and excellence aligns perfectly with our own belief in creating distinctive, intimate luxury that welcomes aesthetic travelers,” said Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems.
When Emblems was initially announced, Guiyang Art Centre Hotel, in China’s Guizhou province, was heralded by Accor to becoming the flagship hotel within the collection, with a scheduled opening data of December 2022.
At launch, Accor said Emblems was expected to grow to 60 properties around the world by 2030.
“We are truly excited to announce our alliance with Accor and its new, and prestigious, Emblems Collection. The collection’s core values perfectly align with all that Lucknam Park embodies and celebrates: timeless beauty, personalized service and luxury experiences which are personal, storied and sensorial. At Lucknam Park we recognise the importance of welcoming change and progress whilst also protecting our heritage and independence. Joining Emblems Collection will ensure that our award-winning team at Lucknam Park will continue to elevate and offer the same attention to detail and home away from home feeling we have always provided to our much-loved guests, whilst also reaching a wider, global audience,” said Chloe Laskaridis, member of the owning family of Lucknam Park LTD.
According to Accor, Emblems targets small-scale properties in top global locations. Each hotel is chosen for its design, service style and place-driven identity. The brand features emblematic suites and villas, personalized attention and residential character intended to appeal to both travelers and locals.
“With 10 Emblems hotels already signed, we are on track to reach our target of fifteen hotels in development by the end of 2025, effectively doubling our pipeline in just one year. Upcoming properties like the Elatos Resort, Emblems Collection, near Athens, a mountain eco-retreat opening in 2026, and Hotel Bellevue Cortina d’Ampezzo, Emblems Collection, a stunning alpine rebirth in Italy, are just the beginning. Lucknam Park will proudly lead our global journey as the first hotel to open under the Emblems Collection, setting the tone for a new generation of luxury hospitality – curated, character-led, and unmistakably original. Emblems is not just about expanding our footprint, but about creating distinctive, immersive experiences that will redefine the luxury travel landscape,” said Xavier Grange, chief development officer of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems.
Lucknam Park sits on a 500-acre estate six miles from Bath. It includes meadows, woodland, formal gardens and an 18th-century dovecote. The hotel offers 42 rooms and suites and 9 cottages. Recent additions include the two-bedroom Apple Tree and Pear Tree cottages. Dining includes the Michelin-starred Restaurant Hywel Jones and the recently launched Walled Garden Restaurant.
Guests can access an equestrian center, country pursuits like falconry and archery and a spa with thermal cabins, treatment rooms and hydrotherapy pools. The Hideaway space serves families with rooms for games, crafts and quiet time. Weddings and events are held in indoor and garden venues, supported by Michelin dining, spa access and a helicopter pad.
