This leadership change comes as the company looks to strengthen its position in the Iberian market and accelerate growth. García, who previously served as General Manager of PortAventura, brings over 25 years of experience in the air transport, entertainment, and hospitality sectors.
“I am thrilled to join this great project represented by B&B Hotels, a company with a brilliant track record and enormous potential. It is a privilege to join such a committed and talented team. I am convinced that, together, we can take the company to new heights of growth in Iberia and consolidate it as one of the leading players in the hotel industry,” –David García Blancas, CEO of B&B Hotels Iberia.
Prior to his new role, García held several prominent positions in the aviation sector, including Chief Commercial Officer at Vueling Airlines and CEO of LOT Airlines. He also has extensive experience with Air France/KLM. García’s appointment aligns with B&B Hotels Iberia’s focus on growth, particularly in Spain and Portugal, where the company added 15 new hotels in 2024, bringing its total number of establishments in Spain to 57.
In addition, the company reported a 27% increase in sales, reaching €127 million in the past fiscal year. The appointment of David García as well as the recent appointments of Maximilian Abele as Brand Director for B&B Hotels Central & Northern Europe, Valerio Duchini as Chief Executive Officer of B&B HOTELS in Western Europe and Céline Vercollier as the group’s new Managing Director, are seen as a strategic move to continue the expansion and further establish B&B Hotels as a key player not only in the Iberian hospitality market, but also in a more in a European level.
Enrique Francia will continue to serve as President during the transition period following García’s appointment.
