The hotel, located just outside the UNESCO World Heritage city of Syracuse, offers a blend of rich history and modern amenities.
Set within a former Roman villa, then a 9th-century monastery, and later a Sicilian Masseria, the property offers 102 rooms, including 83 guest rooms, 14 junior suites, and five king suites, reflecting its historical charm.
“Dolce by Wyndham is more than a hotel brand – its DNA is rooted in beauty, culture and connection and there’s no better place for it to thrive than Italy, the home of its namesake and spirit. Sicily’s timeless charm makes it the perfect setting for travellers seeking authenticity and a true sense of place. As demand grows across the world for meaningful, experience-led travel, Dolce continues to resonate, offering owners a compelling lifestyle brand with strong commercial potential. It’s part of the Wyndham Advantage: scale, support, and a brand that stands out in the evolving world of meaningful travel,” – Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
The hotel also features a par-71, 18-hole golf course, a spa, two pools, and a restaurant led by renowned Sicilian chef Mirko Previtera. The property is designed to appeal to both leisure and business travelers, offering event spaces that can accommodate up to 200 people.
“In Italy, we say ‘Dove c’è il cuore, lì è casa’ – ‘Where the heart is, there is home.’ With Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa, we’ve created more than a resort, we’ve created a place where the spirit of Sicily lives in every detail. It’s about feeling, flavour, and freedom, and we’re proud to welcome guests to experience a truly unforgettable taste of Italian life. Wyndham shares our passion for hospitality and brings the iconic, global Dolce brand, making them the ideal partner to continue growing our footprint within Italy,” – Alberto Reggidori, CEO, All In Italia Hotels & Resorts.
This opening is part of Wyndham’s ongoing expansion of the Dolce by Wyndham brand, which has gained significant traction in key destinations across the EMEA region.
Furthermore, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts continues to grow its footprint in Southern Europe with new openings across Spain, Greece, and Malta. The company has added five all-inclusive resorts in the Balearic Islands, expanding its presence in Spain. In Greece, Wyndham will open Wyndham Residences Piraeus Marina Zeas, marking its entry into the Greek market.
Additionally, Dolce by Wyndham will return to Spain with the Dolce by Wyndham Barcelona Resort opening this summer, and Trademark Collection by Wyndham debuts in Malta with the Quadro Hotel.
These expansions emphasize Wyndham’s strategy of strengthening its presence in key Southern European destinations.
With 12 hotels in the region and more on the way, the brand presents an opportunity for developers to invest in unique, culturally rich locations that offer both luxury and practical amenities.
