
The Hoxton has opened its first hotel in Scotland in Edinburgh’s West End. The 214-room property occupies 11 Georgian-inspired townhouses along Grosvenor Street, with rooms split across both sides of the street.
The hotel includes a trattoria-style restaurant called Patatino, the ballroom-style events space The Get Together, a five-seater screening room, The Apartment meeting concept, and three residential-style units called Houses, which offer three bedrooms and three bathrooms each. These homes-away-from-home will be available to book starting in September 2025.
Upon entry, the lobby features a mural by Verity Woolley and a Murano glass chandelier. Interior design includes mid-century lounge chairs, scalloped motifs, dark stained woods, blackened steel, brass, and checkerboard and parquet flooring. The lobby bar is “wrapped in perforated brass, with peach bar back tiles and wall mounted mirrored beer taps.
The rooms come in nine categories, including Snug Single, Bunk, Cosy, Roomy and Biggy, with ‘Up’ iterations and three Houses. each House sleeps up to seven guests (plus two kids for family stays) andcomes complete with afully kittedkitchen (including a fridge stocked with essentials), dining area and atmosphericlounge. One House includes a private terrace. Guests can order add-ons such as seasonal blooms, hampers of local produce and more and can contact the Hox team via WhatsApp.
The events space, The Get Together, spans 300 square meters and includes a private bar, a stage and the option to split into The Get Up and The Get Down. The townhouse across the street, with 64 rooms, can be booked for overnight stays. The Apartment includes four meeting rooms: the Dining Room, Library, Living Room and Drawing Room. These spaces include AV equipment and herringbone flooring.
The hotel also features Hox Gallery, which opens with an exhibition by photographer Soo Burnell. An optional donation on food and beverage bills supports Rock Trust. Guests can borrow Brompton bikes or access offers at Hot Yoga and PedalHouse.
The Hoxton’s Best Of shop includes items from local makers like Simo The Label, TBCo, Max Machen and Pieute. The hotel is located near Haymarket Station and within reach of New Town, Castle Rock and Arthur’s Seat.
The Hoxton is also connected to a travel initiative for guests staying at multiple Hoxton properties by train. Members of Ennismore’s Dis-loyalty program have access to additional benefits for newly opened hotels.
