The new 12-story hotel spans 17,300 square meters and is situated in the growing Vervet district. The hotel’s design incorporates sustainable elements, such as carpets made from recycled fishing nets and features like a heated rooftop running track, offering year-round use. It is also certified by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and follows the BREEAM Excellent standard, ensuring high sustainability in its construction and operations.

” It is with great pleasure that we can now welcome guests to our newest signature hotel. The Dock 69°39 by Scandic is a unique hotel that we expect to be a natural meeting place for visitors, as it so precisely meets the growing demand from leisure travelers discovering Northern Norway and Northern Europe.” –  Asle Prestegard, COO, Scandic Norway.

In addition to its design, The Dock 69°39 by Scandic offers a rooftop bar, a wellness area with a sauna, and a restaurant on the 10th floor ( Upper Dock Brasserie & Bar), alongside eight conference and meeting rooms.

Scandic Hotels has continued its expansion across Scandinavia with several new developments in Sweden. In Uppsala, Scandic is partnering with Vasakronan to open a 236-room hotel in the growing Södra City area, contributing to the city’s urban development. Additionally, Scandic is planning a new alpine hotel in Sälen, set to open during the 2027/2028 season, further solidifying its presence in Sweden’s popular ski region.

These moves reflect Scandic’s commitment to broadening its footprint in key Scandinavian markets, catering to both urban and leisure travelers.

This new property is Scandic’s third signature hotel in Norway, continuing the brand’s expansion across Scandinavia.
